The Books I Read In June
Hey Booklover!
I read a handful of amazing books last month, all of which I highly recommend so I am excited to share them with you...
First up was Exes and O's. This book has been popular on BookTok for a while but as is the way I was a little late to the party. However, once I got started - I absolutely devoured this book. I genuinely believe that the main character Trevor may have ruined men for me forever as no-one could ever be as lovely as he is. It's a light and fluffy romance but, what better for the summer. It's also 99p on Kindle this month!
Continuing my read through of all Christina Lauren books, I enjoyed my favourite half-night stand although it had a tough act to follow in the previous book. This tells the story of Millie, who accidently / on purpose matches with her best friend Reid through online dating. It was one of those mistaken identity / keeping secrets from each other tropes which I don't really love and the ending was a little too quick for my liking but nevertheless an enjoyable read.
I squealed when I saw this on the shelf in the library as it had only come out a few days before - and Derby Library isn't normally so up to date! The True Love Experiment follows on from The Soulmate Equation - and if you haven't read that then you really should before reading this one or else a lot of it won't make sense. This book positively fizzes with sexual tension and I genuinely felt a little giddy when I put it down - like I had had a whirlwind romance, such was the realism of the relationship between Felicity and Connor. A big recommendation from me.
That was it for June as I also started a West Wing re-watch and that's keeping me busy most evenings - I am hoping to get a few books finished in July though so I will keep you posted.
